Judy A. Martensen, 82, of Columbus, NE. passed away July 24, 2024 at Brookstone Acres

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Columbus, NE.  Visitation is on Monday from 4-7:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home and continues on Tuesday from 9:30 am until service time at the church.  Interment will follow at German Lutheran Cemetery in Platte Center, NE. The family thanks you for your attendance and your kindness and expressions of sympathy.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designations.

Judy Martensen, daughter of Fay and Bessie Palmer, was born on May 19,1942 in Spalding, NE.  Judy attended South High School in Omaha, NE. She was a farm wife, worked at Vishay's, managed Goodwill in Mesa AZ, and Columbus Community Hospital in Nebraska.

She is survived by Husband Dale Martensen, her 4 children with her 1st marriage, Jeff (Diane) Wallick of Tipton Iowa, Tim (Karen) Wallick of Columbus NE, Terry Wallick of Hoskins NE. and Tracy (Jeanie) Wallick of York NE. And her 4 stepchildren, Wayne (Sandy) Martensen of Columbus NE, Kevin (Lorie) Martensen of Columbus NE, Terry (Kimm) Martensen of Monroe NE, and Brenda (Mike) Beveridge of Columbus NE, and a brother Bob Palmer of Omaha NE. Brother in-law Eldon (Joan) Courtney of Hillsboro, OR. 25 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her fur companion Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Fay & Bessie Palmer, her twin sister Janet, Sisters Maxine, Betty, Arlene, and Brother Ronnie. Also, brothers-in-law Vic Johnson, Bob Hall, and Donald Rome. Sister in-law Shirley Palmer, nephews Andy Johnson and Ronnie Rome.
