Juan Sanchez, age 51, of Columbus died Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Lincoln.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the McKown Funeral Home.

Juan Antonio, better known as Toño, was born on April 16, 1972 in Michoacán, Mexico to Salvador and Guadalupe Sanchez. Being the oldest of four, Toño took his big brother role serious. He became protective, loving, and an advocate to ensure his parents and siblings were taken care of. His caring personality gained him many childhood friends who stuck around until his death.

During his teenage years, he loved to break dance, spend time with friends, listen to music, and learn new skills. He became a jack of all trades. When hardship struck, he was forced to seek new opportunities and came to America at the age of 16. Once again, he found friends who would guide him and help him navigate life in a new country. He developed a love for low rider classic cars and oldies on the Art Laboe Channel.

Toño became a father for the first time at the age of 22. Years later, he was a dad to three girls who became his world. He faced each challenge with courage, hard work, and grit because he wanted to give his girls the world. His love language was gift giving, so Evelyn, Jaimee, and Gina were always gifted tokens symbolizing his love for them. Fatherhood came with so much tenderness, support, but especially passion!

To describe Toño in a few words, he was loyal to a fault, caring, silly, humble, and selfless! One of a kind! Because of his qualities, he will be dearly missed as he was loved instantly by anyone who met him.

Rest in peace Toño! As you would say "échale ganas, no te agüites, y cuídate mucho"....nos vemos pronto.

Juan Antonio Sanchez was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, brother Salvador "Baldo", and many extended family members.

He is survived by his parents, wife, three daughters, sister, brother, and extended family members
