Jozefa "Josephine" Kleszcz, age 70, of Silver Creek died Wednesday April 4, 2001 at Genoa Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 pm Monday April 9, 2001 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church-Krakow with the Rev. Robert Nienaber officiating. Visitation will begin after 5 pm Sunday at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek. There will be a 7 pm Wake service also at the funeral home in Silver Creek. Visitation will continue from 8:30-9:45 Monday at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek. Burial will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Jozefa "Josephine" was born June 10, 1930 in Wola Wielka, Poland to Jozef "Joseph" and Bronislawa "Bernice" (Kramarczyk) Bakowska. She received her education in Poland. She married Czeslaw "Chester" Kleszcz in 1951 in Poland. Following her marriage she lived in Borowa, Poland until March of 1986. Following the death of her son she moved to Chicago where she lived until July of 2000 when she moved to Silver Creek, Nebraska. While living in Chicago, she worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Josephine is survived by her daughter: Mary (Albin) Ziemba of Silver Creek, 4 sons; Zbyszek and his wife Veronica of Norridge, Illinois, Romek and his wife Maria of Tarnov, Poland, Mark & his wife Urszula of Borowa, Poland, Stanistaw and his wife Jola of Debica, Poland, 2 brother-in-laws: Stanley and his wife Danusia Kleszcz of Lodz, Poland; Jan and his wife Paulina Kleszcz of Borowa, Poland. One sister-in-law:Zuzanna (Mrs. Ted) Bakowska of Wola Wielka, Poland. And 18 grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son: Christopher Kleszcz, 2 infant twin daughters, 2 grandsons; 1 brother Tadek Bakowski, 2 sisters: Majka Dydo and Helena Poczatko
