Josephine Feaster, age 96, died February 25, 2024, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m Friday, March 1, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bellwood. Visitation is 5-7 p.m Thursday. There will be a 7 p.m Vigil service, all being held at the Church.
Josephine Ruth Feaster was born in Bellwood, Nebraska on March 3, 1927 to Joseph and Ruth (Day) Romshek. After graduation from Bellwood High School, she enrolled in the Nebraska Business Institute in Lincoln. Upon completion, she was hired by Prudential Inc. Co. in Lincoln as secretary to the District Manager. She married Keith Feaster in 1947. His career took them to New York. They made their home on Long Island where they raised three children- Vicki, Kenneth and Keith. She was a stay at home mom and later did temporary office work. After retirement, Jo and Keith returned to Lincoln.
She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, St. John's Altar Society, and Auxiliary of the Pink Sisters. She was a volunteer at the Mat Talbot Kitchen. She lost her devoted husband in 1993.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and brother Joe, Ralph (Betty). Son-in-law Bob Burkhammer, sisters Elma (Pete), Bernice (Leonard), Mildred (Jerome), and Cora Lee. Brother-in-law Roy From.
Survivors include daughter Vicki Burkhammer of Bellwood, sons Kenneth (Kat) Feaster of Houston, TX and Keith (Joanne) Feaster of Groveland, FL and grandsons Kyle and Matthew of Groveland, FL, brother Jack (Betty) Romshek, sister-in-law Mary Romshek and numerous nieces and nephews.
