Josephine Brandt, 85, of Madison formerly of Platte Center died Friday, January 21, 2005 at Countryside Home in Madison. Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday; January 24, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. The Rev. Rod Kneifl will officiate. Burial will be in the Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. with a vigil service held at 7:00 p.m. all at the church. Visitation will continue Monday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Josephine A. Brandt was born March 19, 1919 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Clem and Alvina (Ruhkamp) Wemhoff. She received her education at St. Mary's Parochial School near Humphrey. She was united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Brandt on January 31, 1940 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed in the Platte Center area until moving into Platte Center. Along with raising her family she also worked at Club 81 for 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann's, and Catholic Daughters of America.
