Joseph M. Woerth of Bellevue, Nebraska formerly of Columbus died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home.
Joseph M. Woerth was born September 12, 1939 in Columbus, Nebraska to Leo and Lillian (Plath) Woerth. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1957. Joe served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Henry W. Tucker form July 8, 1957 to February 12, 1962. On February 27, 1965 he was united in marriage to Nancy E. Bartushock at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. In June of 1966, Joe went to work for Union Pacific Railroad until retirement. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Bellevue, the Bellevue American Legion and the NRA. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and bowler. Joe was a friend to everyone and saw the best in people.
