Joseph H. Warth, age 80, of Columbus died Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Norfolk Veteran Home.
Joseph was born March 8, 1932 in Cornlea, Nebraska to Otto and Adeline (Borer) Warth. He grew up in Cornlea and graduated from Humphrey High in 1949. He entered the United States Army and served during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Joe married LuAnn Jazwick on June 2, 1956 in Platte Center, Nebraska. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 32 years until his retirement as postmaster of Madison in 1990. He later worked part time at Van Berg Golf Course.
He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name and National Association of Retired and Active Federal Employees. He enjoyed traveling overseas, spending time with his family, attending grandchildren events, polka music, golf and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Peggy, brother: Otto Sam Warth, sister: Rita Albin
