Jolyn Kay Reicks

JoLyn Kay Reicks, age 60 gained her heavenly home on October 29th, 2021.

Funeral services are 10:30 am Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Federated Church with Rev. Patrick Cool officiating. Visitation is on Monday from 5-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of plant and flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be used for later designation.

JoLyn Reicks was born January 26, 1961 in Red Cloud, to Ernie and Jean (Hollingshead) Wescoat. She graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1979. JoLyn graduated from Kearney State College in 1983. JoLyn taught in Ponca, NE before moving to Fremont where she worked for Valmont, Mutual of Omaha and at Methodist Fremont Health. She moved to Columbus where she worked at NPPD for 24 years.

JoLyn loved her family and anything animals. She was such a people person. Her life was a living example of a Eph 4:32, Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.

JoLyn was the person that was always sending out cards whether it was for a birthday or simply to just say hi. JoLyn was the best grandma Jo to Leyton, Camden and Lily. On her visits to their house it wouldn't be uncommon to find her at the table with Camden coloring or doing a puzzle, playing kitchen with Lily or playing football with Leyton.
