John "Ziggy" Zywiec, 69, died Friday, May 21, 2021 at Countryside Home in Madison.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation is Tuesday from 5:00-6:30 PM with a 6:30 vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Burial in the Omaha National Cemetery will take place Thursday at 11:00 AM with military honors by the American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.

John Louis Zywiec was born in Omaha on October 24, 1951 to Louis and Anna (Krance) Zywiec. He grew up in Columbus and graduated high school. He joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Ziggy enjoyed woodworking as well as working as an auto mechanic. One of his favorite hobbies was polka music.
