John Lassek

John F. Lassek, age 52, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday February 10, 2002 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday February 15, 2002 at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus with Reverend Christopher Grimmond officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday with 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

John F. Lassek was born May 15, 1949, in Columbus, Nebraska to Stanley and Clara (Kuta) Lassek. He attended St. Anthony grade school and graduated from Scotus High School. John worked construction most of his life and was currently self-employed. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching sprint car racing.
