John Euteneuer died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at his home in Monroe.
John W. Euteneuer was born May 25, 1931 in Columbus, Nebraska to Louis and Helen (Rupprecht) Euteneuer. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1949. John served in the United States Marines from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. John was a Purple Heart recepient. John was a longtime farmer,living most of his life in Monroe. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Degree of Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., and a lifetime member of American Legion Swanson Post #322 in Monroe where he served in many positions. John was also currently serving as the Platte County Commander of the American Legion.
