John S. Dush, 85, of Columbus died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Columbus Community Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am Tuesday, March 13 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Del Lape officiating. Visitation is Monday after 3 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7:30 pm Monday, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8-10:30 am at McKown's. Interment is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
John Stanley Dush was born April 18, 1921 in Duncan to John and Victoria (Starostka) Dush. John grew up in Duncan. He married Theresa "Terry" Rita Placzek on October 24, 1944 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus. They owned and operated the Club Cafe and later the Rainbow Room in Columbus for several years before moving to Duncan. John farmed around Silver Creek before retiring in 1985 when he moved back to Columbus. John was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to Polish music, playing with the great grandchildren, playing cards with family and loved ones, going to auctions, and building dog houses.
