John Brandt

John E. Brandt, age 50, of Columbus, Nebraska died Monday July 12, 2004 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday July 15, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Reverend Norma Jean Andrews officiating. Burial is in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

John E. Brandt was born February 6, 1954 in Norfolk, Ne. to Rudy and Alice "Grace" (Moore) Brandt. He grew up in the Newman Grove and Columbus area and graduated from Columbus High School in 1973. On May 23, 1972 John was united in marriage to Linda Semrad in Columbus. John worked for Deano's Diner, Henke Machine, Columbus Hydraulics and managed the Columbus Truck Plaza. After becoming disabled he occasionally helped out at B & B Used Appliances. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
