Joan Sleddens was born September 14, 1930 in Duncan to Frank and Helen (Sokol) Robak. She was raised in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School in 1948 before going on to attend Midland College in Fremont. Joan married John C. Sleddens, Jr. on October 21, 1963 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Joan raised her family and worked in her father's bar until the age of 40. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and St. Ann's. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.
She is survived by her son John F. Sleddens of Duncan
