Jim Skalak, age 75, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home in Columbus.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and health concerns of the family, there will be a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Isidore's Catholic Church. Public visitation is 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at McKown Funeral Home with all health guidelines in place. Burial is in All Saints Cemetery with Military Honors by the Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

The Mass will be broadcast live beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on the McKown Funeral Home Facebook page.

Jim Skalak was born July 25, 1945 to Stanley and Mary (Kredjl) Skalak in Seward county. He attended and graduated high school from Columbus High. He worked a majority of his life as a truck driver. He was united in marriage to Lois Irwin on May 4, 1968. To this union, four children were born. He enjoyed going for coffee with friends and the senior center. He loved and supported his grandchildren with all of their activities.

Great Granddaughter Scarlett
Brother John Skalak
