Jessie Hendrickson, 100, of Silver Creek, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family in Silver Creek, Nebraska.
Jessie was born June 21, 1918, in Polk County to Charles and Elizabeth (Wisely) Wilcox. Jessie grew up on the farm in Polk County south of Silver Creek, attending Polk County rural school and Silver Creek public school. In October of 1938, Jessie married Vaughn Hendrickson. Together they had two daughters, LaVonne Engel and Carolyn Sand. She and Vaughn lived in Columbus for a few short years before returning to Silver Creek. Jessie was a homemaker and worked at Dale Vishay in Columbus for 25 years retiring in 1982. Jessie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Silver Creek, Sunday School teacher for many years, Bible Study teacher till she could no longer at the age of 98. She was very active with Ladies Aide, Quilting Group, and Senior Citizens Group in Silver Creek.

Great-grandchildren: Chelsey (Dustin) Tonniges, Kelli (Justin) Beck, Paige (Shawn) Wiese, Shelby (Damon) Winn, Megan (Jeff) Sempek, Brooke (Blake) Kruse and Jameson Jensen
Great-great grandchildren: McKenzie and Taytum Tonniges , Alexus, Weston and Jurnee Wiese, Finn Beck, Daxton and Piper Sempek and Kreyton Kruse
