Jerry Konert

Jerry Konert, age 69, of Columbus died Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.

Gerald Joseph Konert was born January 13, 1953 at St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus to Gerald and Catherine (Voichoskie) Konert. He grew up in Genoa and graduated from Genoa High School. On August 25, 1973 Jerry was united in marriage to Bonnie Vogt in Ravenna, Nebraska. Although at times Jerry could be the epitome of "The Grumpy Old Man" and rarely said so, he loved his children and grandchildren greatly. His next love was motorcycles which he rode for many years and enjoyed vacationing through many states by motorcycle.

Sister: Rosemary (Dick) Wheeler of Iowa Park, TX
