Jerry Wayne Kammerer, 79, formally of Schuyler, Nebraska passed away February 2nd, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Nursing home in Osceola.

Private services will be held.

Jerry was born on September 25th, 1946, to Carlyle C. Kammerer and Angela Rose Jirovsky. He is survived by two older brothers. Carlyle (Mary) Kammerer, Jr. of Parker Colorado and Bob (Suellyn) Kammerer of Alliance Nebraska, two daughters Darcy (Tom) Warth of Columbus, Wendy (Paul) Brichacek of Schuyler. Grandchildren Katie (Jorge Gomez) Brichacek, Amanda (Andrew) Gallagher, and Joseph Warth, great grandchildren Ryan Brichacek, Liam Brichacek, Aria Gomez, Charolotte Gallagher and Landon Gallagher. Jerry worked at People’s Natural Gas for 32 years and loved sports, westerns and visiting with people. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Wirka of North Bend, and his parents.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family for future designation or Clarkson Rodeo Assn 416 Lindon Street Clarkson NE 68629, or the Veterans of Foreign Wars 742 Main Street North Bend NE 68649 in honor of his late father Carlyle C. Kammerer and late father-in-law William (Bill) Wirka and in support of his great grandchildren.
