Jean E. Kula age 91, of Silver Creek, Nebraska died Sunday December 14, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday December 17, 2003 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek with Reverend Frank Jindra officiating. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Lawrence Church. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. also at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Lawrence Church.
Jean E. Kula was born October 17, 1912 in Nance County, Nebraska to John and Eva (Shotkoski) Zelazny. She received her education in Nance County rural Schools. on May 5, 1936 she married Frank Kula in Fullerton, Nebraska. Along with raising her family and helping on the family farm, Jean worked for 12 years at the Columbus Hospital in housekeeping. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Jean was a member of St. Lawrence Sodality. She enjoyed gardening and plants.
