Jason "JJ" James Phillips

Visitation service for 46-year-old Jason James Phillips, of Columbus, will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Friday, September 24, 2021, at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A Celebration of Life will follow in Columbus at 843 8th street.

"J" was born January 23, 1975 in Fremont, NE to James and Shirley (Hiermeier) Phillips of Columbus. He graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, NE in 1994. He then started a family with Megan Dannelly in 2009 and had a daughter Eva Rose "Angel Eyes" Phillips (12) and step son Ethan Christian Dannelly (24).

"J" worked in industry sales most of his life between Nebraska and Oregon. "J" unexpectedly passed away at Columbus Community Hospital surrounded by his close family and friends on September 19, 2021.

"J" is survived by his daughter Eva Rose "Angel Eyes" Phillips of Fremont, Nebraska, mother Shirley Phillips, sisters Jenifer (husband Jason) Prenner of North Plains, Oregon and Jami Kohl of Grand Island, Nebraska, several nieces and the nephew (Oregon, Texas, and Nebraska) along with several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his father James Michael Phillips (02/16/2019), grandmothers Alice Jean Phillips (Martin) (02/05/2014); Mabel Bell Hiermeier (Vincent) (01/06/1972) & grandfather's Glenn Neil Phillips (11/25/1986), Clarence William Hiermeier (dates unknown), stepson Cooper Prorok (01/05/2020) and his dog, Dauber in 2006.

Family suggests any memorials to be made to the family.
