Jane Munson, age 70, of Columbus died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Federated Church in Columbus. The Rev. Don Wilson will officiate. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be at the Broken Bow Township Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Jane L. Munson was born June 14, 1935 in Sargent, Nebraska to Allen and Irma (Jameson) Millsap. She grew up in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School. She then graduated from Hastings College and received her Masters Degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She married Duane Munson on June 17, 1956 in Broken Bow. She worked for 30 years as a County Extension Agent working out of Platte County. All of her life she was active in statewide 4-H projects. After retirement she volunteered for several years at the Platte County Red Cross. She was an active member of the Federated Church and enjoyed quilting.
