Jane Buresh

Jane Buresh of Columbus died Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is on Monday from 4-6 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Vigil, all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the Church. Interment is in the Schuyler Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family suggests memorials to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.

Jane Buresh was born September 22, 1940 in Genoa, NE to Arthur and Clara (Werner) Smith. Jane graduated from St. Bonaventure High School 1958. Jane married Edward Buresh on August 13, 1960 at St. Bonaventure Church. They lived in Duncan, NE and in later years, moved to Columbus. Jane worked at Becton-Dickinson in Columbus, retiring after 25 years.

Jane was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and Ladies of the Lord. She enjoyed flowers- particularly her sunflowers, Huskers, the Chiefs, and all college football games.  Jane had a passion for cooking and cooking shows.  Everything she made was from scratch.

Son: Michael Buresh of Columbus
Grandchildren Hunter, McKenna, and Angelica
Sister: Charlene (Richard) Stachura of Duncan
Brother-in-law Carroll Vetick of Columbus
Beloved dog: Chloe
