James R. Terry of Columbus died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Columbus Community Hospital.

James Terry was born December 30, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Fred and Gladys Terry. After his father's death, James was raised by his mother and step-father Everette Williams. They lived in Joplin, MO, Lagdon, KS, and while in the 11th grade they moved to Lambert, MT where he graduated from high school. James entered the US Army and served in Vietnam. Following his time in the service, he moved to Billings, MT where he worked in the logging industry. James moved to Columbus in 1986. On June 7, 1991 he was united in marriage to Karen Stempek Adkisson. He worked for Behlen Mfg. until retiring for health reasons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and making jewelry.
