James &Quot;Jim&Quot; Reicks

James "Jim" Reicks, 61, of Columbus, NE was called home to his father on May 5, 2016.

Jim was born August 12, 1954 in Petersburg, NE to LaVerne and Rita (Ketteler) Reicks. When Jim was a young boy, the family moved to Red Cloud, NE. He graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1972 and the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1991. Jim married Shirley McLain in August of 1987 in Elgin, NE. From this union they were blessed to raise 4 children. Jim worked as a drivers license examiner for Platte and Colfax Counties for 24 years. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting, four-wheeling, and camping with his family. He also enjoyed Husker Football and helping out farming with friends.
