James Martens of Columbus died Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Bryan-LGH West in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Tuesday, February 28 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is on Monday from 5-7 pm with a 7:00 pm Vigil service to follow, all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Tuesday from 9-10 am at St. Bonaventure Church.  Interment is in All Saints Cemetery

James "Jimmy" Martens was born May 1, 1955 in Columbus to Harold and Lucy (Nansel) Martens. He grew up in Genoa and graduated from Genoa High School. Jim married Sally Paprocki on December 20, 1991. Jim was a truck driver for his entire life.

Jim enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
