James E. Huhman

James E. Huhman, age 48 of Columbus, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is Thursday 3:00-5:00 p.m., followed by a 5:00 p.m. Vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery. 

James E. Huhman was born July 15, 1977 in Columbus, Nebraska to Emil Louis and Barbara Jean (Treadway) Huhman. James grew up in Columbus and received his education at Columbus High School. Following high school, James received his welding certification from CCC. In July of 1996 James went to work for Behlen Manufacturing, and continued to work there for almost 30 years. James enjoyed watching professional wrestling and football. Spending time with family was important to him.

Sister- Kristina Huhman of Lindsay

Brother- John Huhman of Rogers
