James "Jim" Belzer of Columbus died Friday, May 4, 2018 at his home in Columbus.
Jim Belzer was born October 20, 1953 in Winchester, KY to Frank and Lila (Laugen) Belzer. Jim grew up in Muscatine, Iowa where he graduated from high school. He went on to the University of Iowa where he received his degree in Industrial Engineering. On August 13, 1976, Jim was united in marriage to Desiree Ricklefs in Bluegrass, Iowa. They moved to Lexington, NE where Jim worked for New Holland until 1985. After a year in Minnesota, he returned to Columbus where he worked at Appleton, Valmont, Lindsey Mfg, and at Motion Industries. Jim loved hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Wife Des Belzer of Columbus
Son Eric (Jill) Belzer of Columbus
-Grandchildren Brianna and Brett
Daughter Erin (Mark) Kistler of Lincoln
-Grandchildren Thomas, Charlie, and Sebastian
He is preceded in death by his parents
