Iva "Billie" Doremus died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove, NE.

Iva "Billie" Doremus was born November 28, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, MI to Ivan and Repha (Reynolds) Wonch. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Ledge, MI. On June 4, 1948 she was united in marriage to Gaylord Doremus in Grand Ledge. The couple moved to Shelton, NE where she was a housewife. They moved to Columbus in 1980. Billie and Gaylord managed the Rosebud Motel for 5 years before Billie went to work as a security guard at CAMACO for 12 years. She enjoyed going to casinos, working on puzzles, reading, gardening, dancing, fishing, collecting owls, and traveling with her husband's band, "The Rejects".
