Irma Janicek

Irma L. Janicek, of Columbus, NE died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Brookstone Meadows in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is Saturday 9:30-10:30 with a 10:00 CDA rosary at the church. Burial is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the St. Bonaventure Church, Catholic Daughters or Donor's Choice.

Irma was born July 12, 1920 in Lanesville, Illinois to Henry and Winifred (Moyer) Bales. She graduated from Kramer High School in 1938, and on July 7, 1941 she married Michael Romanek, who passed away on July 16, 1969. On October 24, 1975 she was united in marriage to Cyrus Janicek who passed away on January 26, 2013. Irma was raised in Columbus and worked for Loup Power for 13 years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters. Irma enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and reading.
