Irene died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her home.
Irene M. Zoucha was born May 30, 1924 in Columbus, Nebraska to Joseph and Helen (Rodak) Korgie. She received her elementary education from St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1942. On October 21, 1947 Irene was united in marriage to Emil C. Zoucha at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Irene was a homemaker and worked as a sales clerk at J.C. Penny for 14 years. She was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus where she played the organ for the choir in her younger years and was a member of St. Theresa Sodality. Irene loved music and playing the piano. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing games, making puzzles, and volunteering for the Red Cross.
