Irene Slusarski of Columbus died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Edgewood Vista in Columbus.
Irene Slusarski was born December 29, 1919 in Polk County to Joseph and Stella (Berzenski) Small. She was raised in Polk and Merrick Counties where she attended District 60 Schools. Irene worked as a housekeeper for several Columbus families and later at Sears in Chicago for two years. On May 22, 1944, she married Rudy Slusarski in Genoa at St. Rose of Lima. They farmed for many years by Monroe. Irene was a housewife, a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and raising African violets.
She is survived by:
