Irene Kubas

Irene A. Kubas, 73, of Silver Creek died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Litzenberg County Hospital in Central City. Services are 10:00 am Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Visitation is after 5 pm Tuesday at St. Lawrence Church. There will be a Vigil service at 7:00 pm Tuesday, also at the church. Visitation continues from 9 am until service time on Wednesday at the church. Interment is in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Irene A. Kubas was born January 16, 1930 in Polk County to Hubert and Paulina (Wieser) Bernt. She grew up on the farm in Polk County and attended country schools. She married Marion Kubas on April 11, 1961 in Silver Creek. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to the horse races with her husband. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek.
