Irene Ann Konwinski

Irene Ann Konwinski, age 80, of Omaha, formerly of Columbus died peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Brookestone Village in Omaha.

Irene Ann Konwinski was born January 2, 1935 at St. Marys Hospital in Columbus, Nebraska to Peter and Agnes (Staniec) Niedzwiecki. She grew up in Duncan where she attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Grade School and graduated from Duncan High School. Irene moved to Omaha where she worked at Mutual of Omaha. On July 6, 1958 Irene married Patrick J. Konwinski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. They moved to Columbus in 1960 where Irene worked at First Mid America and Orion Corporation. Her fun summer job for many years was as a ticket window teller at the Columbus Races. Irene was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus.
