Irene C Hayward

Irene Hayward, age 84, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2024.

Funeral services are 10:30 am Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Columbus Berean Church with Pastor Justin Bebb officiating.  Visitation is from 5-7 pm Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.

Irene was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on December 4, 1939. She attended the Mede Colorado school until 1946 when she moved to Schuyler, Nebraska and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1957. She married Marshall (Eddie) Hayward June 29, 1958. Four children were born to the union; Bethany, Kathleen, Philip and Peter. She was a member of Columbus Berean Church. She enjoyed church, flowers, family and grandchildren. Irene enjoyed cooking and worked as a cook at The Columbus Truck Plaza and retired from Vishay Dale.

Irene is survived by her husband: Eddie, son: Peter (Kim), daughter: Kathleen (James) Jenkinson and son-in-law John Wright, 13 Grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

Preceded her in death by her children: Philip Hayward and Bethany Wright.

She will be remembered for her love for Christ and family and friends.
