Irene Christensen

Irene Christensen of Columbus died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Community Care and Rehab in Columbus.

Irene Christensen was born December 3, 1920 in Monroe, NE to John and Hattie (Schrader) Weber. She attended Wattsville School until going to work on the family farm. She married Reynold W. Christensen on March 19, 1941 in Monroe. They farmed until moving to Columbus in 1950. Irene raised her family and worked cleaning houses. She loved sewing and making quilts. Irene was a member of the Federated Church in Columbus for well over 50 years.
