Imelda Loeffler, age 93, died peacefully at home on September 19, 2025, with her family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is Monday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. vigil service, all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials can be designated to St. Bonaventure Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Imelda Loeffler was born March 5, 1932, to John and Clara (Schaefer) Bierman in Lindsay, Nebraska. She attended St. Bernard School in Lindsay. Following her schooling, Imelda moved to Columbus. She was united in marriage to Fritz Loeffler on April 23, 1955, at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Imelda worked at Behlen's, JCPenny's and Adams Café prior to her starting her career at Becton Dickenson, where she worked until her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed attending all her children and grandchildren's activities over the years. Imelda also enjoyed scrapbooking, garage sales and going on bus tours. Most of all, Imelda loved spending time with her family.
