Hortencia Martinez

Hortencia Martinez, age 85, of Columbus, Nebraska died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at her home. Funeral Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend David Fulton officiating. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday at McKown Funeral Home.

Hortencia Martinez was born May 18, 1920 in Honduras to Juan and Evangelina (Soto) Martinez. She was raised in Honduras where she worked hard to provide all her children with a decent life. After her children had established themselves in the United States Hortencia came over to live in this country where she helped raise her grandchildren. She will be loved and remembered forever.
