Hester Maurine Swiney

Hester Maurine Swiney, age 86, of Columbus, Nebraska died Friday December 12, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday December 15, 2003 at the Bible Baptist Church in Columbus with Pastor Robert Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Church.

Hester Maurine Swiney was born October 31, 1917 in Bethany, Illinois to G. Rollo and Lura (Bacon) Winings. She graduated from Findlay High School in 1935. She married George D. Swiney on March 14, 1936 in Arthur, Illinois. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher.
