Henry Louis Smolenski died Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center.
Henry Smolenski was born May 26, 1932 at home in Rural Polk County, NE to Louis and Valeria (Lisko) Smolenski. He attended Silver Creek High School and was drafted at age 19 into the Army. He was united in marriage to Patricia Morris on September 17, 1976 at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Pilzno. They made their home together in Polk County. He farmed in Polk County since 1947. Hank was a member of Silver Creek American Legion since 1956, Post Commander for 4 years and Chaplain for 35 years, a member of the rural fire board for 40 years, and lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church - Pilzno.
