Henry Gus Schlunsen passed away on August 27, 2011 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Henry G. Schlunsen was born February 18, 1930 in Creighton, Nebraska to Gustaf H. and Catherina M. (Frahm) Schlunsen. He attended Creighton Public School and Platte Community College in Columbus, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 - 1953 during the Korean War, stationed in Germany as an M.P., then in Korea. Henry married Leona Fay Lytle on February 18, 1959 at the Assembly of God Church in Burwell, Nebraska. During their 52 years they moved many times. Henry worked at Burlington Railroad and the Post Office in Lincoln. He owned a dry cleaning business in Reeds Spring, Missouri and the worked at Rowse's Rakes in Burwell, Nebraska. His last occupation was Lindsay Manufacturing in Lindsay, Nebraska. They moved to Norfolk in 1986 and lived there until October 2010 when they moved to the Veteran's Home in Bellevue. He was a member of the V.F.W. Club in Norfolk.

8 Grandchildren: Tessa and Gina Cavagnero; Alyssa Schlunsen and fiance Chris Potenski; Ben and Josh Stewart; Brandi, Michaela and Carrie Feldmann
2 Step-Grandchildren: Gary (Stephanie) Becker and Erik Becker
4 Step Great Grandchildren: Angelika, Trey and Mary Becker; Tyler Blackmore

He was preceded in death by:
