Henry M. Mohr, 83, of Columbus died Sunday March 4, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 1:30 pm Wednesday March 7 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Richard Bringewatt & Rev. Roland Jank officiating. Visitation is from 4-9 pm Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Wednesday at the church beginning at 12:30 pm. There will be a 1:15 family prayer service at the church. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
Henry was born January 21, 1918 in Monroe to Jake & Lena (Lammers) Mohr, Sr. He received his education at District 81 and O'kay high school. He was raised in Monroe. On February 22, 1941 he married Doris M. Robinson in Schuyler. He farmed, worked for Soil Movers, Loup Engineering, and later worked 15 1/2 years for the Platte County Highway Department. He was member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Couples Club, past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, past sec/treasurer of Grace Lutheran Church in Platte Center, and past president and secretary of District 26 school. He enjoyed woodworking.
