Henry C. Gates, Jr.

Henry died Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Henry C. Gates, Jr. was born August 17, 1927 in Columbus, Nebraska to Henry, Sr. and Theresa (Jahn) Gates. He served in the National Guard from 1948-1954. He married Shirley Tredway. Henry worked for Ag Park in Columbus for 32 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Church and the Eagles Club. Henry loved fishing, Nebraska football, watching softball at Bradshaw Park, going to dances, working the bazaar at St. Anthony's and spending time at the Eagle's Club. In his retirement he enjoyed making bird and squirrel houses and other woodworking projects.
