Henry Bruner

Henry J. Bruner, age 86 of Columbus, died Thursday; February 19, 2004 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday; February 24, 2004 at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. The Rev. Tom Weisbecker will officiate. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 4-8 p.m. A Vigil service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Tuesday 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Henry J. Bruner was born August 17, 1917 in Brainard, Nebraska to Mike and Victoria (Fiala) Bruner. He attended Brainard Public Schools where he graduated from High School. He married Martha Proskovec on May 3, 1939 in Bruno, Nebraska. Henry farmed in Butler County until 1961. He was then employed by Rogers-Riley Motor Company in Columbus as a salesman until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Henry enjoyed trap shooting and was a member of The Isaac Walton Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Helen Sabata.
