Helen Urbanek passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha surrounded by family members.

Helen R. Urbanek was born March 29, 1927 in Omaha, NE to Charles and Mary (Delitz) Druskis. She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Omaha North High School in 1945. Helen married Kenny Schleu October 19, 1946 and to this union 2 sons were born: Kenneth and David. She raised her family in Omaha until the time of her husband Kenny's death. She married Virgil Determan on April 8, 1961---. To this Union was born 2 more sons: Michael and Daniel. They moved to Columbus and raised their family until the time of Virgs death in 1980. She then married Ray Urbanek on August 1, 1987 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus.
During her life in Columbus Helen owned and operated the Lark Lounge, Louie's restaurant and the Red Raven restaurant. She also worked as a secretary for B.L. Chemical. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Perpetual Adoration, Ladies Guild, Christian Mothers, VFW, and the Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by:

Son; Michael (Linda) Determan of Ithaca, NE
Son Daniel (Cindy) Determan of Columbus
Sister: Anne Wildermuth of California
Numerous grandchildren

She is preceded in death by:
