Helen Lassek

Helen F. Lassek, age 93, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday November 6, 2003 at Morys Haven in Columbus. Funeral Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday November 10, 2003 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Tom Weisbecker officiating. Burial is in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan, Nebraska. Visitation is after 4:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:30 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Helen F. Lassek was born December 12, 1909 in Humphrey, Nebraska to John M. and Agnes (Mostek) Tworek. She attended school St. Michael's School in Tarnov. She married Steve Lassek Jr. , January 12, 1931 at St. Michael's Church in Tarnov., Nebraska. They farmed in Nance and Platte Co. before moving to Columbus in 1957. She later worked for Dale Electronics until her retirement. Helen was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She was a former member of 3rd Order of St. Francis. She was also past president of the residents council at Morys Haven and a member of Dale Electronics Retirement Group. Helen enjoyed praying the rosary.
