Helen "Lynne" (Ryba) Jaeggi, 79, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, April 24th, at the home of her daughter in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6th, at McKown's Funeral Home in Columbus, NE, from 5-8 p.m..with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service for the public. Private services will be held at St. Bonaventure's Church on Friday, May 7th, for her immediate family only, at Lynne's request.
Mrs. Jaeggi was born on May 8th, 1930, in Duncan, NE, to George and Sophie (Kozak) Ryba. She married Walter A. Jaeggi on Feb. 28th, 1949, in Columbus, NE. Lynne was a homemaker, raising four daughters. She enjoyed watching movies, gardening, bingo, playing cards with family and friends, and always had a song in her heart. In 2007, Lynne moved to Fort Wayne, IN, where she lived with her daughter, Lori, and Loris family until her death. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus, NE, and St. Henry's Church in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include: three daughters, Judy (Leroy) Rupp, of Springfield, MO; Pam (Mike) Rayman, of Lincoln, NE; and Lori (Scott) Kirstine of Fort Wayne, IN; one son-in-law, Bryce (Cathy) Rosche, of Fort Gratiot, MI; sister, Dorothy Steffey, of Seattle, WA; sister-in-laws, Elfrieda Jenkinson and Helen Wiebold; and brother-in-law, Robert (Tanya) Jaeggi, all of Columbus, NE. Lynne had seven grandchildren, Sheryl (Matt) Rinkol, of Lincoln, NE; Brooke (Tom) Rogers, of Lincoln, NE; Chandra, Kristen and Jonathan Rosche, all of Fort Gratiot, MI; and Jarrod and Justine Kirstine, of Fort Wayne, IN. Lynne had one great-grandson, Landon Rogers, of Lincoln, NE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; one daughter, Joanie Rosche; parents, George and Sophie Ryba; two sisters, Carolyn Ebel and Josephine Czarnick; and seven brothers: Frank, Leo, Henry, Charles, Edward, Joseph and Louis.
