Helen A. Bernt of Columbus died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Helen A. Bernt was born October 27, 1918 in PLatte County, Nebraska to Louis and Mary (Scharff) Miksch. She received her education at St. Joseph School in Platte Center. Helen married Eugene Bernt on April 8, 1947 in Platte Center. She raised her family and was a devoted wife and mother. Helen was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and the Legion of Mary. She was a longtime member of the Joy Maker Social Club and was a volunteer at the Simon House.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Eugene and daughter Cathy Lueschen.
