Harvey D. Cordsen died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Harvey D. Cordsen was born June 5, 1931 in Marshall County, Kansas to John and Minnie (Leseberg) Cordsen. He was raised in Kansas until his freshman year of high school when he moved to Beatrice. Harvey then moved to Central City where he graduated from Central City High School in 1949 and went on to attend Northeast Central College. Harvey served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955. He worked as a carpenter with his father and brother for 3 years before going to work at Becton Dickinson for 35 years. Harvey married Joyce Herout on February 27, 1981 in Columbus. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

He is survived by:
Wife Joyce Cordsen of Columbus
2 Grandchildren

He is preceded in death by:
Parents
2 sons Larry and Tim Cordsen
Brother Alvin Cordsen
