Gregory K. Voboril, age 59 of Paso Robles, California died Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at French Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, California.

Greg was born to James and LaVina Voboril in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 20, 1957. Greg attended St. Anthony's School and Scotus Central Catholic High School. Greg received his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Greg married Linda Johnson in 1978. Together they had Stu, born in Lincoln, and Amy, born in Omaha. In California he met is second wife Patti and they were married in December, 1994, gaining two step children Holly and James. Greg worked for Nebraska Public Power District, Omaha Public Power District, Arizona Power Service, and was a contractor at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant in California. Using his expertise in the nuclear power industry, he started his own company, Advanced Application and Technical Services, Inc. (AATS), a successful nuclear engineering consulting company.
Greg enjoyed playing golf, even trying out for the Senior PGA Tour. His favorite course was Hunter Ranch in Paso Robles. He had an incredible passion for music, playing keyboards in countless bands throughout his life. He was an avid runner, completing a marathon in 2008. He loved traveling, usually to see family in Nebraska, Maui, Washington D.C., St. Louis, and his favorite spot, Yosemite National Park. He loved Husker Football and could often be found at Memorial Stadium on game day. Greg enjoyed seeing his children and grandchildren the most.

Greg is survived by his wife Patti, Paso Robles, CA; his children: Stuart (Becky) Voboril, Alexandria, VA, Amy (Paul) Kohlhepp, Maui, HI, Holly (Sean) Anderson, Windsor, CA and James Henderson, San Luis Obispo, CA; grandchildren: Ethan and Finn Voboril, Annette Kohlhepp, Sierra, Brandon and Peyton Anderson; his sisters: Linda (Bill) Kosch of Lincoln, NE and Colleen Milligan of Cayucos, CA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to St. Anthony Church or to Scotus Central Catholic High School.
