Grace Wilcox, age 80, of Silver Creek, Nebraska died Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Genoa Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek. The Rev. Bev Hieb will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery.

Grace C. Campain Reed Wilcox was born September 4, 1925 in St. Edward, Nebraska to Frank and Katherine (Heltenberg) Campain. She graduated from St. Edward High School in 1942. She moved to Silver Creek where she worked for the Grosch family in their home. She married John "Jack" Reed May 1, 1946 in Central City, Nebraska. He died March 31, 1955. Grace later married Marvin Wilcox on April 5, 1956 in Columbus. Marvin died April 12, 2005.

Grace was a member of the United Methodist Church and a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years in Silver Creek. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, crosswords, camping, playing scrabble and Cubs Baseball. Grace was a Cub Scout Leader for many years.

Son: Dick (Sally) Wilcox of Doniphan, NE
Son: Larry "Joe" (Robyn) Wilcox of Silver Creek, NE

Sister: Darlene (Harold) Potter of Columbus, NE
Sister: Delores (Milton) Berggren of Stamford, NE
Brother: Vearl (Lila) Campain of Grand Coulee, WA

25 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren



She was preceded in death by:

First Husband: John "Jack" Reed
Second Husband: Marvin Wilcox

Infant Son, Sister: Jane Grosch, Sister: Vernetta Harrington, Sister: Loretta Meyer
